THOMAS W. LITZLER joined Schostak Brothers as their Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer on September 26, 2017. Previously, Tom was the President, Midwest, for Brixmor Property Group, Inc., based in Northbrook, Illinois.  In this capacity he operated 118 shopping centers with a total of 21M square feet.  He oversaw leasing, construction, legal, acquisitions, redevelopment and regional operations for the Midwest.  He was instrumental in supporting efforts to take Brixmor Property Group public in 2011.

Schostak has had a footprint in Michigan for nearly 100 years. Since 1920, the now fourth generation family-based company out of Livonia, MI has included development, acquisitions and leasing of retail, office, industrial, residential, mixed use projects both urban and suburban. Schostak’s current activities include joint ventures, build to suit projects, mixed use developments, and a variety of necessity-based retail and open air centers in 24 states. Schostak Brothers & Company, Inc. has an outstanding reputation for managing and leasing a portfolio of properties and for responding to tenant's needs while continuing to look for ways to improve services, ensuring that the buildings are run efficiently and are well-tenanted. We are progressing with a growth strategy based on the acquisition of stabilized shopping centers, and has recently completed over $300 million of acquisitions in 17 states. The company plans to continue to acquire at least $100 million of shopping center assets each year and is assembling one of the largest portfolios of Wal-Mart shadow-anchored centers in the nation. Schostak is quickly growing its industrial portfolio with 2 million square feet of new properties in the last 2 years. We are aggressive, entrepreneurial Buyers of Value Add industrial properties. We have acquired vacant industrial and performed massive renovations to deliver a product to the liking of today's users. We have also purchased stabilized industrial properties. We will continue to be very active in the industrial product segment in the Midwest for the years to come. Schostak Brothers is taking real estate development and construction to new heights. From repurposing commercial industrial warehouse and manufacturing plants, to building residential lofts in downtown Detroit, to partnering with Schoolcraft College to build corporate headquarters for Masco, Schostak Brothers is raising the bar.
