Bio
Scott McPherson has been with Merlone Geier and its predecessor entity since 1995. He is a Managing Partner and member of the Investment Committee. His primary responsibility has been serving as a senior project partner with a particular focus on project development, entitlement processing, leasing and coordinating personnel to ensure the execution of the Company’s strategy for each asset, including oversight of the firm’s large urban redevelopments. In 2017, Mr. McPherson became a co-managing partner for Merlone Geier’s twelfth fund. Mr. McPherson has led many of the firm’s larger and more complicated property redevelopments including Santa Fe Springs Mall from 1998 to 2001, Oxnard Esplanade from 2000 to 2001, Mira Mesa Mall from 2000 to 2002 and from 2007 to 2011 he oversaw the entitlement processing and predevelopment activities for Delta Shores in Sacramento. Recently he has overseen NOHO West, Village at Laguna Hills, Northgate Mall, Commons at Federal Way, Overlake East Center and Northline Village among others. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. McPherson held positions at Donahue Schriber and C.W. Clark. Mr. McPherson is a graduate of UCLA. He is an active participant in ICSC where he currently serves as a member of the ICSC Board of Trustees, is a member of Urban Land Institute and a licensed real estate broker. Mr. McPherson is also a past member of the Board of Directors and past President of the Monarch Ambassador Council of the Monarch School in San Diego, and a past member of the Board of Trustees of The Bishop’s School in La Jolla, California. He is resident in the firm’s San Diego office.
