Dan Poag

Dan Poag is the Chairman of the Board for Poag Shopping Centers. In this role, he oversees the company’s long‐term strategic direction and ensures achievement of financial objectives. With more than 35 years of experience in real estate development, finance, and property management, Dan brings a depth of industry knowledge that is unmatched. During the 1970s and 80s, he purchased, syndicated and developed single and multi‐family residential, office and retail properties in Memphis. Prior to his formation of the original lifestyle center development company, Dan partnered in the development of Kroger and K‐Mart anchored shopping centers throughout the Southeastern United States. Dan is a member of and has leadership positions with a number of community organizations. He has served as Board Chair of the Memphis Symphony and Theater Memphis and was a Co-founder of the Memphis Area Chapter of the Urban Land Institute. Dan was the 2017 selection to the Memphis Area Realtors Hall of Fame and is a member of the Society of Entrepreneurs. He served on the Princeton University National Schools Committee and currently serves as the Board Chair of Urban Renaissance Partners. Dan earned his bachelor’s degree from Princeton University and his MBA from Emory University.
