Biography

Clarence Marsh serves as Chief Operating Officer at Greenstone Partners.

 

Within his purview as COO, Clarence leads day-to-day business operations and oversees the Investment Sales, Analytical, and Marketing teams. Clarence executes strategic business and growth initiatives at Greenstone, including programmatic talent development, FP&A, and recruitment.

 

Clarence joined the team in 2019 as an investment sales analyst, underwriting an expansive range of CRE assets that translated to $300+ million in closed transaction value for the firm’s principal brokers. In his most recent role, serving as director of business operations & investment sales transactions, he standardized daily business operations and the investment sales teams’ transaction process, while retooling the business’s talent development, vendor management, and technology strategies.

 

Prior to joining Greenstone Partners, Clarence began his commercial real estate career as a Leasing Broker at Garrett Realty & Development, specializing in Office & Retail landlord and tenant representation. While there, he advised clients through an eclectic mix of over 30 lease transactions during his first year in the industry. Before that, Clarence lived in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where he worked a variety of bucket-list jobs in the great outdoors.

 

Born in Lake Forest, Illinois, Clarence grew up across Park City, Utah and Baltimore, Maryland. He graduated from Franklin & Marshall College with a double major in Business and Geo-Sciences. He was also a captain of the Franklin & Marshall Diplomats football team and vice-president of Sigma Pi fraternity.

 

In his free time, Clarence is pursuing his MBA at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is an avid reader, Baltimore Ravens fan, and outdoor enthusiast, with a passion for skiing, mountain biking, and new experiences.

Clarence lives in Lincoln Park with his lovely wife Tara, daughter Nell, and their westie Paul.
