Carter Bechtol

Carter Bechtol serves as a Managing Principal of Stanmore Partners, and has over 20 years of experience in the real estate business. Most recently, Carter served as Executive Vice President and national development partner for the Morgan Group, a leader in high-end multifamily development, construction, and property management. In Carter’s 10 years at the Morgan Group, he led the development of over 6,500 units (suburban, mid-rise and high-rise projects) at a cost exceeding $1.3 billion in Texas, Florida, California, North Carolina and Missouri. Prior to the Morgan Group, Carter served in senior roles at Camden Property Trust and Lincoln Property Company, and provided investment advisory services at Apartment Realty Advisors. Through his various roles at these companies, Carter has been involved in the development, acquisition or disposition of over 17,000 multi-family units representing $2 billion of value. Carter holds an MBA from the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Management at Rice University and earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Austin. Carter is a member of the National Multi Housing Council and serves on the advisory board of Cadence Bancorp LLC. Carter resides in Houston with his wife, Natalie, and their three children. He is an active member of Grace Bible Church and enjoys coaching sports for his three kids.
