Andrew Meran

Mr. Andrew Meran is Managing Director, Investments for BBX Capital Corporation. He previously served for nine years with BankAtlantic, most recently as Manager of Commercial Real Estate. Mr. Meran’s background and real estate experience also includes positions with Levitt Realty and Finance, Rendina Companies, and Staubach Retail Services.

During his tenure with BankAtlantic, Mr. Meran was responsible for managing a team of commercial real estate lenders, as well as a BankAtlantic loan portfolio in excess of $600 million. He actively sold loan participations in the secondary market totaling over $200 million, and resolved more than $300 million in loan workouts. Previously, Mr. Meran represented national retail chains, managing and negotiating leases for more than 200,000 square feet of commercial real estate including retail, medical and mixed-use properties. He was also responsible for new business development.

Mr. Meran is actively involved with the Mathew Forbes Romer Foundation, a South Florida not-for-profit organization dedicated to the education and research of children’s genetic diseases of the brain. He is a graduate of Leadership Broward, Class XXV and holds a Florida Real Estate License. Mr. Meran graduated cum laude from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
