Constructed in 2006, the 4-story masonry-built Hotel has received nearly $1 million in recent capital improvements and was originally designed with infrastructure to accommodate an additional 33 guestrooms, offering meaningful upside through expansion.
The Hampton is positioned within the on the Providence Park/Airport submarket, which features robust demand generators from the medical, academic, government, and corporate sectors, including the University of South Alabama, USA Health Providence Hospital, and the Mobile Regional Airport. With only two other “highly branded” hotels – a Homewood and a Holiday Inn Express – located in the trade area, the Hampton has a highly defensible competitive position within the broader Mobile market.
CoStar reports no new hotel supply within the trade area that is either Under Construction, in Final Planning or Proposed.
Macroeconomic trends strongly favor the Mobile market, especially with regards to its shipbuilding sector which is expanding significantly with major public and private investments focused on both naval and commercial vessel production.
