Bio
Bill O’Brien has more than 40 years in the construction and development industry in a full range of responsibilities. As Senior Vice President, Construction, at New England Development, he is responsible for all aspects of construction on NED projects, including those at White Elephant Resorts and Newburyport Development. Projects include large retail centers, mixed-use developments, hotels, and marine construction. Bill joined New England Development in 2015 after two years as a construction consultant to the company. Prior to that, he owned and operated Pinnacle Partners in the Boston area, a design/build firm. Pinnacle Partners focused on key development and construction projects, including major shopping centers and the conversion/revitalization of the Reading landfill into a state-of-the-art retail center. Before that, he was Director of Construction at Stop & Shop corporate headquarters in Quincy, responsible for overseeing the construction of numerous shopping centers and distribution facilities. A graduate of Wentworth with a degree in Construction Management, Bill is a certified Design Development Professional (CDP), a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and a member of Associated General Contractors (AGC). He also holds an Associate Degree in Applied Science with a concentration on civil and structural engineering.
