Bio

Bill Katter is Co-President of United Properties Investment (UPI) and President & Chief Investment Officer of United Properties Development (UPD). Current Responsibilities As President and Chief Investment Officer of United Properties Development he has responsibility for all new investment projects and all development personnel. Bill oversees all aspects of United Properties’ development activities, including land acquisition, entitlement, design, construction, company and project marketing, and project capitalization and disposition. Bill co-leads the combined companies, United Properties (UP) with Matt Van Slooten, President and Chief Investment Officer of United Properties Investment (UPI). Bill serves as chair of United Properties’ Investment Committee and is a member of the Executive Team and the Board of Governors. Past Experience Prior to his executive leadership role at United Properties, Bill significantly impacted United Properties’ success, both in the Twin Cities and Denver. He was responsible for the purchase and/or development of more than five million square feet of office and industrial space for the company from 2006-2014. Notable projects in Minnesota include the development of the C.H. Robinson corporate campus in Eden Prairie, the acquisition of Plymouth Ponds Business Park, development of the LEED Gold 8200 Tower of Normandale Lake Office Park, the adaptive re-use of both 505 and 655 Nicollet Mall properties, the renovation of the Ford Center and Loose Wiles historic buildings, and development of the Be The Match headquarters in downtown Minneapolis. In the Denver market, Bill initiated the development of Enterprise Business Center, a two million square foot master-planned and award-winning industrial park. Professional and Community Involvement Bill is an active member of the National Urban Land Institute’s Industrial and Office Park Development Council. He is also a member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) and the University of St. Thomas Real Estate Advisory Board. Education Bill earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in humanities from the University of Minnesota.
