Professional Profile

 

Wes Boatwright joined the Capital Markets Debt and Equity practice as Principal of Avison Young in October 2017. Wes is responsible for creating and structuring debt and equity real estate capitalization solutions on behalf of the firm's investor and institutional clients. His expertise encompasses the full spectrum of real estate financial services with an emphasis in acquisition and development financing and real estate operating company corporate finance. Mr. Boatwright has more than 20 years of real estate experience including the structuring of Joint Venture Equity, Mezzanine, Construction Loans and Floating and Fixed Rate permanent debt for multi-family, office, condominium, retail and hospitality properties. During his career he has underwritten and closed in excess of $12.5 billion in financings.

 

Prior to joining Avison Young, Wes spend 17 years at Jones Lang LaSalle in Washington, DC as Managing Director where he focused on real estate investment banking of all property types.

 

Mr. Boatwright began his career in 1993 at Walker & Dunlop in Bethesda, MD. Prior to being promoted to a Vice President, Mr. Boatwright served as both an Assistant Vice President and a Real Estate Analyst.

 

Mr. Boatwright is an adjunct professor at Georgetown University in the Masters in Real Estate program.
