Bio

Wade is a Partner and Shareholder in Barshop & Oles Company, as well as an investor and partner in its various projects. He joined the company in 1995 and was the partner in charge of the San Antonio office serving as Vice President of Leasing & Development until 2017 when he relocated to Austin.

 

In his current role, Wade oversees the company’s institutional and company-owned portfolio, managing the firm's property management, accounting, and operations teams. He works closely with all the company's institutional clients and partners. In addition, Wade handles numerous corporate duties and initiatives for Barshop & Oles Company.

 

During his 22 years in San Antonio, Wade negotiated lease and sale transactions totaling over 2 million square feet with a dollar volume of over $150 million. His responsibilities also included land acquisition and disposition, and development. His retail development projects included Northwoods-Phases III & IV, WestPointe Village, and Potranco Village.

 

Prior to joining the company, Wade was a partner with TRW Properties Corporation (Dallas), Director of Leasing for CompuAdd Corporation (Austin), a commercial broker with NHP Real Estate Company (Austin), and a commercial banker with InterFirst Bank (Dallas). Wade currently serves or has served on the boards of Marathon Title Company, the Real Estate Council of San Antonio (as Vice President of Government Affairs), the President's Council (as Chairman), and the San Antonio Mobility Coalition.

 

He served for six years on the Advisory Council for the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University and now has Emeritus status. Wade holds a B.B.A. in Finance / Accounting from Texas Tech University.
