Bio
Mr. Farris is responsible for the overall direction of the company. In 1987 he formed a partnership with the Rank Group Plc, which resulted in the creation of Rank Hotels North America. The company was renamed Quorum Hotels & Resorts in November 1994. Farris previously held positions as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the American Hotel & Motel Association (AH&MA) Educational Institute and the AH&LA Educational Foundation, chairman of the board of the American Hotel Foundation, co-chairman of the AH&MA's selection committee of financial management and the audit committee of the AH&MA. He is a graduate of the University of Texas system and is a Certified Hotel Administrator as well as a CPA.
