Biography
Tom Watson joined the Northwest Florida office of CBRE in December, 2015 as Vice President. Since 2002, Mr. Watson has been involved in transactions valued in excess of $400 million in Northwest Florida across all property types. As CEO of JPB Commercial Real Estate Advisors prior to joining CBRE, Tom founded the brokerage in 2010 and was responsible for growing the company's book of business, managing its team of sales agents, and handling the group's major client relationships. Concurrently serving as Vice President - Southeast Region for JPB Commercial's parent company (JPB Partners) since 2004, Mr. Watson acquired, managed and executed multiple land development projects in the Northwest Florida region.
Tom relocated to Northwest Florida in 2001, following his recruitment as a development principal and sales executive for the St. Joe Company, where he spearheaded numerous shopping center and mixed-use developments, and led the company's commercial land disposition efforts throughout the Florida Panhandle.
Following an early-career stint in banking from 1990 to 1994, Mr. Watson ran the consulting division of Jamison Research in Atlanta, focusing on commercial property acquisition and development, due diligence and portfolio strategy for a "who's who" list of institutional investors, developers, lenders and REITs. His work ranged from Atlanta to Texas, from the Carolinas to Florida, where he was involved in an advisory capacity in over $1 billion worth of development and acquisitions in the latter half of the 1990s.
