Bio

Tom Shafer is an Executive Vice President with CBRE Atlanta’s Capital Markets Investment Properties Group. He provides advisory services for income property sales, equity financing and land sales to companies in the southeast region. Mr. Shafer joined CBRE in December 2012 as a result of the Resource Real Estate Partners acquisition where he was a Principal of the company.

Mr. Shafer has spent nearly fourteen of his twenty-one years of commercial real estate experience with Resource where he led the investment brokerage services. During that time he has been instrumental in real estate asset sales totaling nearly $5 billion dollars and over 40 million square feet. Mr. Shafer has been a Top Ten Producing Broker (Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors) as well as an Investment Top Producer where he was recognized as the #1 Investment Top Producer – 2008.

As a principal of Resource, Mr. Shafer also has a long history of investing in real property, and brings this experience to every disposition transaction.
