Bio
Tom Jackson joined WPCM in May 2020. As Managing Director of Investments, Tom is primarily responsible for sourcing apartments, office and mixed-use investment opportunities. Prior to WPCM, Tom co-founded Vertical Data Centers, a privately held investment firm focused on the acquisition and development of data center properties, where he was responsible for overseeing and implementing the firm’s investment and capital markets strategy from underwriting through execution. Prior to the formation of Vertical, Tom was with the acquisitions group of GI Partners in San Francisco, with responsibilities for sourcing, underwriting, and executing investment opportunities for the firm’s technology real estate platform throughout the United States. During his tenure with GI Partners, Tom completed $2.1 billion in acquisition volume across the data center, life sciences, office, and industrial sectors. Before joining GI Partners, Tom worked in Atlanta for Patterson Real Estate Advisory Group where he supported a team that provided debt and equity capital placement services to its clients for office, multi-family, and hotel investments throughout the Southeast. Tom is a member of the National Association of Office and Industrial Properties (“NAIOP”) and is a graduate of the NAIOP Young Professionals Group. Tom earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a four-year member of the Varsity Lacrosse team. Outside of the office, Tom enjoys coaching youth lacrosse in Atlanta for the Thunder LB3 program.
