Bio
Tim Sheehan, Senior Vice President in the firm's New York
Tri-State region, joined CBRE in 2002. Mr. Sheehan represents both owners and
tenants in property sales and leasing, and serves as real estate advisor to
nonprofit and public agencies. His property sales clients include Starwood
Hotels, Seamen's Church Institute, the 92nd Street Y and the New York Academy
of Sciences. A number of his sale transactions have set new market benchmarks
for pricing. Recently, Mr. Sheehan represented the Diocese of Brooklyn in the
long-term ground lease of a former school property for residential
redevelopment. Mr. Sheehan has served for several years as real estate advisor
to the Battery Park City Authority whom he has assisted in the negotiation of
the ground lease with Goldman Sachs for its new headquarters. His team has
produced 30-year revenue forecasts to support BPCA's bond issues in excess of
$1 billion. He has also assisted the Metropolitan Transportation Authority and
the NYC Health & Hospitals Corporation in the disposition of under-utilized
real estate assets.
Prior to joining CBRE, Mr. Sheehan was the Assistant
Director of Real Estate for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey where
he directed the leasing and disposition of retail, hotel, telecommunications
and development assets. His significant achievements included the sale of the
hotel leasehold at the World Trade Center to Host Marriott Corporation and the
negotiation of a lease agreement for the development of a one
million-square-foot office tower and retail center at the 42nd Street bus
terminal. Mr. Sheehan led the re-merchandising of the WTC retail concourse that
placed it in the top tier of the country's most productive retail centers and
the sale of the leasehold to Westfield. Prior to his involvement in real
estate, Mr. Sheehan was a founder and executive director of the Regional
Alliance for Small Contractors, a public/private partnership formed by the
leaders of the construction industry to improve the position of women and
minorities in the industry. Earlier in his career, Mr. Sheehan served as
