Biography
Tim Martorella is the founding principal of Madison Capital Group, which he has led since its inception in 1998. He has been responsible for the financing or sale of more than $8 billion of real estate in his career, including over $4 billion of multifamily and residential development.
Tim Martorella is also the principal of Madison Capital Investors, a real estate and private equity investment firm, and is responsible for overseeing all of its activities. He currently manages a portfolio of real estate and private equity investments, consisting of wholly owned real estate assets, real estate partnership equity interests, real estate fund interests, operating company and private placement investments, and public securities.
Tim was previously a partner at Boston Financial, a $7 billion asset real estate investment firm acquired by Lend Lease RE Investments, and a Director within the firm’s Investment Banking Group. He managed Boston Financials’ New York City office and its Capital Strategies and Principal Investments divisions.
Prior to joining Boston Financial, Tim was a principal and founding partner of Alliance Realty Capital, a real estate investment banking firm that was acquired by Boston Financial in 1995. He previously served in various investment and investment banking positions with Merrill Lynch Capital Markets, Prudential Realty Group and Boston Properties.
Tim was an Echols Scholar at the University of Virginia where he earned degrees in Economics and Computer Science. He holds a Masters of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating with Distinction.
Tim actively supports a number of charitable organizations in the community and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Carrfour Supportive Housing.
