Bio
With over 11 years of commercial real estate experience, Tim Cotter, Director, is responsible for nationwide loan origination and is based out of Walker & Dunlop’s Milwaukee, Wisconsin office. Throughout his career, Mr. Cotter has been involved in numerous financing structures including permanent, construction, bank, and bridge placement. His primary focus today is placing permanent loans for income-producing properties including multifamily, industrial, retail, and office in addition to a specialty focus on procuring construction financing for apartment developments. Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Cotter served as an assistant vice president at NorthMarq Capital, which he joined in 2007 as an investment analyst. Throughout his tenure, he generated leads and fostered new relationships to bring in new business and contribute to the overall production and profitability of the organization. Before, NorthMarq Capital, Mr. Cotter served in a variety of roles on the finance team at Rockwell Automation, Inc. Mr. Cotter graduated from University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee with a dual degree in accounting and finance. Beyond the company, Mr. Cotter is a member of the Wisconsin Commercial Association of Realtors (CARW), National Association for Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP), the Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin, and he currently serves as a board member for Historic Milwaukee, Inc.
