Bio

Responsibilities:Oversees Boyle’s office portfolio in Nashville, which includes over 3 million SF of existing space and another 2 million SF in the planning and development stages. In this capacity, McDaniel oversees Boyle’s leasing, acquisition, and development activities for office properties. Since joining Boyle in 2002, McDaniel has participated in many hundreds of lease transactions of all types and situations, with aggregate consideration of almost $1 billion. McDaniel has also had a leadership role in ground-up new and redevelopment development of more than 1.5 million SF of class A office and mixed-use buildings. McDaniel has also had a leadership role in the acquisition of another 1 million SF of office buildings. Professional Record:Prior to joining Boyle, McDaniel was a senior auditor for Ernst & Young’s New Orleans office, where he specialized in real estate, serving a variety of clients from development, management and construction companies of all property types. McDaniel’s clients ranged from large, public companies to small, entrepreneurial start-ups. McDaniel also served for 14 years (2005-2018) as an adjunct professor of real estate for the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University, teaching courses in Real Estate Finance/Investment and Real Estate Development. Education:McDaniel received a B.S. in Management from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University, where he was a Dean’s Scholarship recipient and was awarded the Burkenroad Award as the Freeman School’s top graduate. McDaniel received an M.B.A. from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University, where he was also awarded the Dean’s Scholarship. Professional Affiliations:McDaniel a past President of the Tennessee chapter of NAIOP and has served in various other roles as a member of the NAIOP Board for 15+ years. McDaniel has served as a Board Member of the Williamson County Chamber of Commerce. McDaniel a licensed affiliate broker of real estate and worked previously Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Civic and Community Involvement:McDaniel is a Past President of the Middle Tennessee chapter of Big Brothers Big Sister. McDaniel is a member of the Board of Trustees of Harding Academy. McDaniel has also been an active participant in many other civic organizations, including the Nashville Chamber of Commerce, the Williamson County Chamber of Commerce, the Williamson County United Way, Boys & Girls Club of Williamson County, and the Owen Graduate School of Management (Vanderbilt U) Alumni Council. McDaniel is a member of St. Henry Catholic Church. Honors and Awards:McDaniel is married to Kristen, with whom he has four children. In theory, hobbies would include cooking Cajun food, stock picking, and home renovation and activities would include tennis, golf, and fitness challenges of any sort. But in reality, spending time with the kids has superseded all hobbies and personal activities. Instead, McDaniel tries to maximize free time spent with the kids, for whom, amongst other things, he has coached more than 30 sports teams over the years. And he supports LSU athletics – Geaux Tigers!
