Bio
Stephen Songy is a Director
with CBRE’s Global Corporate Services currently supporting the Nissan Americas
account in multiple capacities. He is charged with oversight and delivery of
the Strategic Consulting, Transaction Management and Portfolio Administration
functions for a portfolio of approximately 10 million square feet across the
United States, Canada and Mexico. Recently, Mr. Songy has led the completion of
several engagements with Nissan to provide transaction advisory and execution
services in association with 4 build-to-suit industrial projects totaling
approximately 3.6 million square feet.
Prior to moving into a
dedicated support role on the Nissan account, Mr. Songy served several
corporate clients from a general strategist position. During that term, he led
numerous projects for these clients in the manufacturing, health care,
financial services, technology and retail sectors, including the following:
Provided metro market
portfolio consolidation and optimization recommendations
Developed a conceptual
framework for combined human capital and real estate planning across a global
portfolio
Structured a high-level
financial proposal for a spinoff of non-core assets to unlock significant
shareholder value
Designed and developed
customized technology solutions for workflow and portfolio management
objectives
Developed and implemented
multiple asset utilization studies
Mr. Songy has more than 10
years of experience in the real estate and finance industries. Prior to joining
CBRE, he worked as a Development Associate with Boyle Investment Company in
Nashville, Tennessee, where he supported efforts to source, underwrite and
present for approval multiple investment opportunities across various product
types.
Before entering the
commercial real estate industry, Mr. Songy worked at Regions Capital Markets
within a small team tasked with the origination and distribution of
approximately $2.0 billion in syndicated real estate and corporate debt
facilities per year.
