Shige Akamatsu

Shige Akamatsu brings more than 20 years of finance and accounting experience to his position as the Chief Financial Officer of Diamond Realty Investments, Inc. He plays an integral role on the investment leadership team and is responsible for the firm's financial reporting, forecasting, risk management, information technology, administration, and human resources functions. Prior to joining Diamond Realty, Shige served as Head of M&A and Structured Finance at Mitsubishi Corporation (Americas) based in New York. There he closed multiple M&A and finance transactions in various industries. Prior to that, he was responsible for capital markets and treasury operations at Mitsubishi International Corporation based in New York. Shige earned his Bachelor's Degree from Waseda University in Tokyo Japan and Master of Business Administration from Sloan School of Management at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
