Bio
Shaquille (Shaq) Powell joined CBRE Debt & Structured Finance (DSF) in October of 2019 as a Production Analyst on the Bryant Wagley DSF Team. Since Joining, Shaq has been active in every stage of the debt underwriting process with an emphasis on conventional multifamily properties across the U.S. Shaq and his CBRE Capital Markets team represent primarily institutional clients including some of the top pension fund and private equity investors in the country.
Prior to joining CBRE, Shaq worked for pre-IPO and high-growth technology start-ups in San Francisco. In his role, he focused on new business development and existing account expansions in highly competitive markets.
Shaq received his MBA from Dominican University of California’s Barowsky School of Business in 2018, concentrating on Marketing and Finance. Prior to business school, he was a 4-year collegiate football letterman at Duke and a 3x Academic All-ACC selection. At Duke he graduated with his Bachelors of the Arts in Psychology and Evolutionary Anthropology in 2016.
