Shan graduated from California State University, Chico with a BA degree in Marketing. He is currently completing work on the MAI and CCIM designations, furthering his understanding and commitment of valuation within the commercial real estate industry.

Prior to working at Marcus & Millichap, Shan worked as an independent commercial real estate appraiser for 17 years with experience in many property types, such as limited service hotels, retail, office, industrial, land, multifamily and going concern. He currently specializes in the sale of multifamily properties in Northern California. Owns and manages an apartment building in Midtown Sacramento.

Shan has lived in both Southern & Northern California and enjoys the outdoors, mostly fishing, camping, traveling, hiking and skiing. He is passionate about helping others, cooking, art, music, animals and nature.
