Seth Bland

Seth is responsible for overseeing the strategy and execution of Federal Realty’s development activities on the West Coast, including managing the region’s development team.Seth joined Federal in 2014 as vice president of development. Prior to this, he spent ten years as a partner at Wilson Meany Sullivan. In his more than 30 years as a developer in the Bay Area, Seth has directly managed the successful development and redevelopment of high-rise transit-oriented mixed-use residential/retail projects such as The Beacon and Glassworks in San Francisco, The 88 in San Jose, and the West Coast’s tallest historic renovation—the renovation of 1925’s 140 New Montgomery Street in San Francisco; as well as urban mid-rise multifamily projects such as Shipley Square, 350 Jackson, and Field House at Bay Meadows; among more than 50 standalone projects.Seth is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the San Francisco Bay Area Planning and Urban Research Association (SPUR) and holds a bachelor of arts in human biology from Stanford University and a master of business administration from Saint Mary’s College.
