Scott Shepherd serves as Archbell Capital's Managing Partner and heads its Investment Committee. His focus is building longstanding relationships with CRE investors, through delivering on commitments and standing by borrowers through their business plan execution.


Prior to forming Archbell Capital, Scott headed the Commercial Real Estate Group and was a Management Committee Member at OneWest Bank in Santa Monica. His CRE team launched a middle market loan originations business that closed over $3.5 billion in loans in four years, and acquired and serviced a commercial mortgage loan portfolio that peaked at over $6 billion. After OneWest was acquired by CIT in 2015, Scott served as CIT's West Coast Commercial Real Estate Head.


Scott started his CRE finance career at Goldman Sachs, where he was an investment banker in New York for ten years, and led teams on 50 assignments representing over $12 billion through public company M&A and financing transactions.


Scott is an active member of the Urban Land Institute, where he is a member of a Small Scale Development product council. He earned his MBA with honors from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and his BA in Economics from Northwestern University.
