Scott Kraus

Mr. Kraus is a Vice President in the Ares Real Estate Group, where he focuses on U.S. real estate debt. Prior to joining Ares in 2017, Mr. Kraus was a Vice President at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, where he focused on originations, underwriting, and management of high yield debt investments including private loans and CMBS. Previously, Mr. Kraus was an Associate at Torchlight Investors, where he focused on originations and underwriting of mezzanine loans as well as CMBS B-piece investments. In addition, he was an Associate at the Capstone Real Estate Group, where he focused on distressed debt investments and worked within Kimco Realty Corp.'s acquisitions team. He holds a B.A. from Bates College in Political Science and an M.S. from New York University in Sustainable Real Estate Development.
