Sam Spears

Mr. Spears brings to the company over 10 years of real estate experience. His responsibilities include leadership of the accounting, finance and treasury functions at Bourne Financial Group, and he serves an important role in the operational strategy across its investment platform. He plays an integral role in the financing strategies and relationships for the entire real estate portfolio. Mr. Spears joined Bourne Financial Group in April 2018 as the Vice President of Operations and has over six years of public accounting experience in the real estate sector, primarily focusing on publicly traded and non-listed REITs. Prior to joining Bourne Financial Group, Mr. Spears began his career in the assurance practice of Ernst and Young. During his tenure at Ernst and Young, Mr. Spears was involved in auditing a wide variety of business combinations, asset acquisitions, property development and Form 10 spin-off filings for companies in both the private and public sectors. Mr. Spears holds a B.S. in Business Administration, Accounting, and a Master of Accountancy from Auburn University. Mr. Spears is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Florida and holds a Real Estate license in the State of Florida. Mr. Spears has also been a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants since 2014.
