Bio

“Ryan Hardy rejoined HAP Investments in 2018 as the Vice President of Project Controls after relocating back to NYC from Chicago. With 15+ years of broad experience across architecture, construction, real estate development, project management and AEC contract administration, he develops and leads initiatives, training, processes and procedures in order to achieve greater project and process efficiencies. He also serves as the in-house Architect to provide architectural review, design guidance and quality control on all Projects and performs reviews of all design and construction contracts.From 2013 – 2014, he served as the Vice President of Design and Construction at HAP Investments overseeing a 6-person project management team and managing the day-to-day construction management of 419 E 117th Street and 2338 2nd Avenue.Prior to that, Ryan spent 7 years at the US General Services Administration in New York and Chicago where he developed, negotiated and administered design contracts in excess of $10M and construction contracts ranging from $15M to $120M on large and complex public capital projects. He led diverse and large design and construction teams on MEP studies, MEP construction retrofits, historic preservation projects, fire and life safety upgrades, as well as facade re-skinning projects for highly sensitive clients including the FBI, US Marshals, USPO, and the Federal Courts.He also worked as an Architect at RTKL Associates in Dallas, TX and SRSSA in Atlanta, GA contributing to numerous high-rise condominium projects across the South and Southeast United States. Ryan obtained a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Iowa State University in 2003 and a Master of Real Estate degree with a concentration in real estate development from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2007. He is currently a registered Architect in the state of NY and IL and a LEED Accredited Professional.
