Ryan Akins

Ryan is a co-founder of Red Summit Partners, LLC, and manages acquisitions, financing, asset management, and dispositions. Prior to Red Summit, Ryan served as Regional Director for The Bascom Group in Texas, where he worked with institutional debt and equity partners to acquire and reposition over 9,000 units with a total capitalization of $500 million in the state of Texas. Previously, he was the Director of Acquisitions at Sares Regis Group, where he pursued and acquired multifamily assets in Southern California, Colorado, and Arizona. Before that, Ryan served as Acquisitions Manager for Starpoint Properties, where he acquired retail properties nationwide. Ryan has acquired over 10,000 apartment units and over 500,000 square feet of retail property in his career. Ryan received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Southern California and a Masters in Business Administration from Thunderbird. He is also a CCIM designee. He has served as speaker and panel member for numerous regional and national conferences, including Realshare, Urban Land Institute, Multifamily Executive, and MPF Yieldstar. Ryan has been quoted numerous times as an industry expert in Multifamily Professional Magazine, Globe Street, and the Dallas Business Journal. He has also served as an expert witness for several properties in bankruptcy in the state of Texas. Ryan has owned the North Texas franchise for Dale Carnegie since 2011, and is a Certified Dale Carnegie Trainer.
