Roy W. Smith

Roy Smith has over 30 years of Civil Design, Project Management and Department Management in a varied project mix. He has masterplanned, designed, permitted and overseen the construction of commercial, retail and telecommunications projects throughout New England. In addition to Roy’s project management responsibilities, he has gained valuable knowledge in the areas of stormwater management facilities, septic systems, water quality systems, water supply systems, and utility design. Prior to joining RJO’Connell & Associates, he was the director of Engineering for the Worcester office of a prominent regional consulting engineering and survey firm and prior to that a Senior Project Manager with the Boston Land Development Unit of a national engineering/architectural firm. Roy has been involved with a number of commercial projects throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and Rhode Island ranging in size from a few thousand square feet to over a million square feet. Notable clients include Costco, Target, Kohl’s, Jordan’s Furniture, Price Chopper, Stop & Shop, Walgreens and many others.
