Bio
Robert Sitman is a Managing Director of Blackstone Real Estate Debt Strategies and is based in New York. Mr. Sitman is responsible for the legal aspects of originating, structuring and executing real estate debt investments. Prior to joining Blackstone, Mr. Sitman was an associate in the Real Estate group of Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP where he worked from 2008 to 2014. At Fried Frank, Mr. Sitman represented owners, developers, private equity real estate funds, investment banks and institutional investors in the structuring, negotiation, and closing of sophisticated real estate financings, acquisitions, dispositions and development transactions. Mr. Sitman received a B.A. in Political Science from University of Michigan and a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, where he graduated cum laude.
