Bio

Robert Norton is a First Vice President of Brokerage Services in the CBRE Saddle Brook New Jersey office. Mr. Norton provides consultation and strategic real estate advisory services to both occupiers and property owners.

As an accomplished occupier representative, his experience includes work with both public and privately held companies to determine how the individual components of their real estate plan effect the overall operation of the organization. By examining the financial, operational and qualitative requirements that are specific to each organization, Mr. Norton assists his clients in developing and executing both short and long term real estate strategies. Subsequently, his comprehensive understanding of occupiers in the market make him an asset to both institutional and regional owners, who own trophy assets and are looking to maintain or reposition them within the market. In addition to his extensive understanding of the prerequisites for the recruitment of qualified knowledge workers and employee retention, Mr. Norton has ample experience working with clients who seek state incentives as part of their project consideration.

During his career at CBRE, Mr. Norton was awarded the 2011 New Jersey Top Associate Award and was a contributing member of the brokerage team that won the 2011 NAIOP Deal of the Year Award. Mr. Norton currently co-leads an internal office market information meeting comprised of half of the Northern New Jersey office brokerage department. This meeting allows for the open discussion of relevant market activity and is one of the many instruments that allow for offering guidance to clients.

Prior to joining CBRE, Mr. Norton worked for Altria where he was a Unit Manager for Phillip Morris USA. Mr. Norton received his undergraduate degree in communications from Marist College and his MBA in Marketing from Seton Hall University.
