Robert Bennett

Robert is the co-Managing Director of Omni New York LLC. Since Omni’s inception in 2004, he has structured and led the acquisition process of the company’s affordable housing portfolio with an aggregate transaction value of $2.5 billion. During this period, Robert was also the Managing Partner and co-founder of Mill Plain Properties which was merged with Omni in 2014. Prior to Omni’s inception, Mr. Bennett was Vice President for Acquisitions at a nationally recognized real estate investment firm. In this capacity, he was charged with identifying, structuring, and closing housing development transactions throughout the United States. Previously, from 1988 to 1998, Mr. Bennett was a Vice President at Chrysler Capital Realty, Inc., the real estate investment subsidiary of Chrysler Corporation. At Chrysler he focused on, among other things, investing in tax advantage real estate investments. Mr. Bennett has over 30 years of commercial real estate experience including development, construction, lending, and real estate workouts. Mr. Bennett received his Bachelor of Science degree from Roger Williams University.
