Bio
Since 1985, Bob has been a principal of Atkins Companies, serving as a Managing Partner overseeing all facets of the firm's operations. Areas of particular expertise extend to entitlement, development, financing, construction, and management functions for the numerous projects the company develops under various ownership entities. His expertise and experience has led to numerous invitations to speak as a panelist at national healthcare real estate and medical office building conferences. Prior to joining the firm, he worked for several years in marketing and advertising in New York City. Engaged in many civic and charitable activities, he served as a member of his local Board of Education, chairing its Buildings & Grounds and Negotiations committees. He recently oversaw and managed the company-funded construction of a residential group home for developmentally disabled young adults, for the benefit of SMILE, a local non-profit organization. Mr. Atkins also served as president of the high school booster club, was a member of the board of directors of his town's Little League and continues to be involved in fundraising for many charitable organizations including The Valerie Fund and Homeless Solutions. In 2002, he and his brother Chick were honored by B'nai B'rith International with the Gold Medallion Award for outstanding community service. He is a cum laude graduate of The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
