Richard Kwait

Mr. Kwait is General Counsel to Merion Realty Partners assisting the real estate professionals in achieving the objectives of the organization. He also serves as Chief Compliance Officer of Merion Realty Advisers, LLC. Prior to joining Merion, Mr. Kwait served from 2002 to 2011 as in-house real estate counsel for CMS Companies handling the acquisition, financing and disposition of real estate assets across multiple private equity real estate funds. Before joining CMS, Mr. Kwait worked for five years in the real estate department of Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis in Philadelphia. In 1992, Mr. Kwait received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from University of Pennsylvania and in 1996 he obtained a Juris Doctor from Temple University School of Law. Mr. Kwait is a member of the Pennsylvania and New Jersey state bar associations and also holds a broker license with the Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission.
