Bio
Rich Caterina is a Senior Vice President in Heitman's Real Estate Debt Group. He is responsible for originating and structuring mezzanine and senior debt opportunities across all real estate sectors in the western US. Prior to joining Heitman, he was Senior Vice President at Johnson Capital (acquired by Walker & Dunlop in 2014) where he arranged commercial real estate transactions and originated and placed construction, bridge, mezzanine and permanent loans and equity for clients across the country during his 25 year tenure. Previously, Rich developed and acquired institutional properties at Birtcher Real Estate Group, and gained additional commercial real estate experience at national and international banks and consulting firms including Fleet Financial Group, Banque Indosuez, and the Goodkin Real Estate Consulting Group/KPMG Consulting. In addition, Rich is active in many community and civic organizations, as well as real estate trade organizations such as ULI, NAIOP and ICSC.
Rich graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor's Degree in economics and history.
