Regina Stilp

For more than two decades Regina Stilp has been a visionary force in Chicago's commercial real estate community, developing farsighted, sustainable and highly desirable properties that have become foundational community assets. She has been behind the design and execution of some of city’s most creative and architecturally acclaimed redevelopments, including headquarters for Sara Lee (now Tyson Foods) and Google and the complete repositioning of a historic, century-old warehouse into a thriving tech hub. Today, she is a founding principal of Farpoint Development, where she brings her knowledge of adaptive reuse, ground up construction, design, zoning and marketing to the strategic transformation of legacy sites and structures in the metropolitan region. Her current focus is Bronzeville Lakefront on Chicago’s South Side, a mega-development that will revitalize a 100-acre site that includes the former Michael Reese Medical Center as driver of sustainable growth, health equity and economic development. She is also working on the redevelopment of Northbrook's Green Acres Country Club. Other Farpoint projects she has helmed have reimagined Chicago's iconic Uptown Theatre and property along the Elston Avenue industrial corridor. Before joining Farpoint Development, Regina spent 20 years as a principal at Sterling Bay, where she was the firm’s second employee. As design director she led the redevelopment of a Daniel Burnham riverfront warehouse into the tech-forward offices of Gogo, Twitter and Uber; an Art Deco printer’s building as the home of Sara Lee spinoff Hillshire Brands; a flinty cold-storage warehouse into Google's Chicago headquarters and the anchor of the Fulton Market District; and Oprah Winfrey's nearby Harpo Studios media center into McDonald's global headquarters. As part of Farpoint’s commitment to the communities it transforms, Regina works to fill Chicago's economic development pipeline with talented women and minorities. Her efforts have established the Bronzeville Lakefront development team with one of the city's highest concentrations of minority-owned businesses, representing 65% of the project. Regina is on the advisory board of commercial lender First Women's Bank, Chicago's first new financial institution in more than a decade. She also a member of the CREW Chicago network of women in commercial real estate and the Economic Club of Chicago civic organization. The University of Iowa graduate lives in Wilmette with her husband and three children.
