Bio

Randy Bekerman is an accomplished commercial real estate investment professional with over 17 years of principal investing experience across several property types, geographies, and strategies.

 

Mr. Bekerman is currently the Senior Vice President of Investments and Business Development at Atria Senior Living, one of the nation's largest senior housing operators. At Atria, Mr Bekerman is focused on sourcing and underwriting ground-up development, repositioning, and conversion opportunities in the Independent Living and Assisted Living space in gateway cities.

 

Prior to joining Atria, Mr. Bekerman was a Senior Vice President of Investments at Vanke US, the US real estate investment platform of China Vanke Co. Ltd. In his capacity at Vanke US, Mr. Bekerman focused on sourcing, underwriting and closing ground up development and value-add joint venture opportunities and loan originations totaling over $3BN in total project capitalization.

 

Prior to joining Vanke US, Mr. Bekerman spent nine years at Lazard Real Estate Partners, Lazard’s real estate private equity platform, serving in various investment roles where he was directly involved in the acquisition and disposition of over $4BN of real estate nationally.

 

Mr. Bekerman has experience in the entire life cycle of an investment with a particular focus on deal sourcing, valuation and financial analysis, the due diligence process, financing, deal structuring and negotiations, and asset management.

 

Mr. Bekerman obtained his B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with concentrations in Real Estate and Management
