Bio

Preston Young serves as National Head of Office Investor Services & Partner for Stream Realty Partners where he oversees the strategy and advancement of the firm's national office portfolio. In this role, Preston leads Stream's strategic efforts in recruiting talent, identifying new business opportunities and development of essential resources to achieve Stream's growth initiatives. Additionally, Preston oversees Stream's Voyager Committee, which serves as the firm's strategic commission exploring critical, real-time insights to anticipate trends, uncover opportunities and drive solutions for Stream's office investor clients and professionals.  The committee consists of select Stream individuals who have demonstrated exceptional acumen and leadership across all facets of the office sector.

 

Preston has been instrumental in the success and growth of Stream's platform in many facets.  Previously, he co-led the firm's Houston office where he directed the service and principal portfolio which now exceeds 50 million square feet, thereby positioning Stream as one of the largest commercial real estate organizations in Houston.  Under his leadership, Stream was consistently ranked as one of the "Best Places to Work" by the Houston Business Journal and "Top Workplaces" by the Houston Chronicle and are perennial recipients of Costar's "Power Broker," an award recognizing the top commercial real estate brokerage firms by city.

 

Service within the community is also a major point of emphasis for Preston where he provides leadership to a multitude of philanthropic and academic institutions.  He serves as Chairman of the Board for Western Academy and is the immediate past Chairman for the St. John Paul II Foundation for Life & Family.  He is also a member of the Board of Trustees for the Free Enterprise Institute and formerly on the Board of Directors for Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.  Mr. Young serves as an Advisory Board Member for the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and Mays Business School at Texas A&M University and is a member of the university's 12th Man Foundation's Champions Council.  Additionally, Mr. Young is routinely a guest lecturer on numerous commercial real estate topics for various trade associations and universities including Rice University, Texas A&M University, ULI and National Association of Office & Industrial Parks (NAIOP).In 2018, the Houston Business Journal honored Preston as one of the top "40 Under 40" business leaders in Houston. Before joining Stream, he served in the capital markets division at Trammell Crow Company.
