Peter Smith

Peter Smith has served as our vice president and our Manager’s head of originations since November 2016. Mr. Smith is a business unit partner of TPG and a member of our Manager’s investment committee. Mr. Smith has more than 25 years of commercial real estate debt financing experience, including transitional loans, mezzanine loans, long-term fixed rate loans, loan portfolio acquisitions, and workouts and restructurings. Prior to joining TPG in November 2016, Mr. Smith was a managing director at Ladder Capital focusing on loan originations. Mr. Smith’s prior experience includes senior positions with Credit Suisse, UBS, Credit Suisse First Boston and Heller Financial. Mr. Smith is a graduate of the University of Michigan from which he earned a B.B.A. in Accounting.
