Bio
Based in Houston, Texas, Managing Director Paul House is responsible for securing financing for owners and developers of all commercial real estate asset classes in the Southwestern United States. Mr. House focuses on structuring equity placements consisting of preferred equity, mezzanine financing, and joint venture equity. He also partners with the company’s investment sales platform on dispositions, acquisitions, and recapitalizations across the broad capital markets landscape for both owner and lender clients.
Mr. House has successfully advised clients on more than $7 billion of debt, equity, and product dispositions over the past ten years.
Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Mr. House was Managing Director within the real estate investment banking practice of Jones Lange LaSalle (JLL), where he oversaw the Houston Capital Markets Group. In this role, he provided debt and equity, dispositions, acquisitions, and recapitalizations for private and institutional owners of all property types. He also served as an advisor to existing owner and lender clients, keeping them apprised of market movements. Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Mr. House spent 21 years in the real estate investment banking industry as Senior Vice President with CBRE.
Mr. House earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas.
Outside of the company he is a Board Member for the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP). Mr. House is also an active member of industry associations, including the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC), Mortgage Bankers Association of America (MBA), Urban Land Institute (ULI), and International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
