Bio

Mr. Grayson joined Beckham Gumbin Ventures as a Principal in March, 2014. Mr. Grayson's responsibilities include investment analysis, asset management, opportunity sourcing and capital raising. Mr. Grayson brings a background in commercial real estate acquisitions, asset management, and brokerage.

Prior to joining Beckham Gumbin Ventures, Mr. Grayson worked as an associate in the US Real Estate division of The Carlyle Group in Washington, DC. Mr. Grayson was part of a team focused on actively managing over $800 million of investments across a range of geographies and asset classes, including $300 million in development projects. These investments represented 1,100,000 square feet of office/retail space, over 1,200 apartment units, 320 condominium units, and 100 single family homes.

Prior to The Carlyle Group, Mr Grayson worked in the Capital Markets Group at Walker & Dunlop,Inc. in Bethesda MD. Mr. Grayson worked on debt/equity financing, underwriting over 150 commercial mortgage transactions ranging from $2 million to $150 million on a national scale; completing transactions with life insurance companies, federal agencies and local and national banks.

Mr. Grayson started his career at JP Morgan Chase & Co in their Corporate Banking division where he directly supported a Senior Banker who represented companies with up to $3B in revenues in the Washington DC and New York metropolitan areas. Mr. Grayson also completed JP Morgan Chase's global investment banking analyst training program.

Mr. Grayson received his B.S. degree (cum laude) from Vanderbilt University with a double major in Economics and Human & Organizational Development and received his Masters of Science in Real Estate (MSRED) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
