Paul Garner

Paul Garner, Director, is responsible for originating construction bridge, transitional bridge, and permanent loans as well as structuring preferred equity and mezzanine debt for commercial and multifamily properties nationwide.  Based in Walker & Dunlop’s New Orleans office, Mr. Garner has deep relationships and experience working with a broad range of lenders, including life insurance companies, banks, REITs, balance sheet lenders, debt fund and finance lenders, private equity, conduits, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac. Mr. Garner has more than ten years of experience in the commercial real estate industry and has executed in excess of $1 billion in transactions throughout his career.

Before joining Walker & Dunlop in September of 2019, Mr. Garner was Vice President of Originations at 3650 REIT, an investment manager based in Miami, Florida. There, he focused on structuring and executing investments at various areas within the capital stack for all asset classes.

Mr. Garner received a bachelor’s degree in finance from Louisiana State University and a master’s degree in finance from Tulane University, where he graduated magna cum laude.  He is currently an active member of several industry associations, including the Urban Land Institute (ULI), International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), and National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC).
