Prior to joining Leisure Real Estate Advisors, Nihar Patel’s introduction to the hotel industry began over a decade ago when he started in a management position as an AGM for a Marriott product in Topeka, KS. This sparked his interest in the hospitality industry, which led him to pursuing a career in multi-unit ownership/management. Currently, he is a hotel owner-operator of multiple upper-midscale hotel franchises, and has demonstrated skill and expertise in acquisitions, operations, and renovations. Within the last few years, he has renovated a Comfort Suites by Choice International and a Holiday Inn Express & Suites, and has recently completed over $10 million dollars of renovation and construction.

Since his graduation from the University of Kansas, he has been involved in numerous transactions, either for family or through syndication, with a combined value of $35,000,000. These transactions and subsequent renovations have provided Nihar with ground up hospitality experience and will translate into knowledge that few hospitality brokers can provide their clients. He has been involved in every phase of hotel operation and can impart inside knowledge his clients will find invaluable. After graduating from KU, he attended Washburn University and obtained an MBA in Business and Finance.

As a life time member of AAHOA, his commitment shows the dedication to the support of hotel owners, and as well as the educational opportunities it brings. Being able to network with like minded individuals creates a significant advantage in advising a group that owns approximately 50% of the hotel rooms in the US. Furthermore, his involvement has led to being on the forefront of issues impacting the hospitality business and being politically active on behalf of the association and its members.

Notwithstanding these relationships, his knowledge and expertise in management, operations and brokerage can translate into significant value for every type of hotel owner.

After spending several years obtaining industry-specific experience and education, Nihar understands the philosophy of success in the hotel business is not only about the guests, but about sustainability, longevity and exceeding expectations. He brings this depth of understanding to his clients bringing hotel transactions to a successful closing.
