Bio
Nicolas Ibanez co-founded Drake in 2012 and is President of the Firm. Nicolas is responsible for overseeing the company's strategic direction and business development efforts, and is a member of the Investment Committee. Nicolas is also a member of the Board and a member of the Executive Committee of Drake Enterprises, an investment group based in Switzerland that manages approximately $1.4 billion of financial assets and direct private investments in real estate, retail apparel, quick service restaurants and agribusiness. Nicolas sits on the Advisory Board at Tompkins Conservation, a foundation that is passionate about saving biodiversity through the formation of parks, ecological restoration, sustainable agriculture, and activism in Chile and Argentina. He is also involved in the family's philanthropic endeavors in the fields of ideas for a free society, the elderly, education, and conservation. Previously, Nicolas formed and led the Real Assets Strategy at Drake Enterprises and also served as the Research Associate for Arthur Segel at Harvard Business School. Prior to Harvard, he was a Corporate Finance Associate at LarrainVial, an investment bank based in Santiago, Chile. Nicolas graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Economics and Business Administration and a Masters in Finance from the Universidad Adolfo Ibañez of Chile, where he is also a member of the Visiting Committee. Nicolas also holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
