Nick Monson joined Hempel in 2021. As Chief Operating Officer, Nick helps Hempel navigate a broad array of real estate matters, including commercial finance transactions, acquisitions, dispositions, lease negotiations, and capital markets transactions. Nick graduated from the University of Saint Thomas (MN) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Entrepreneurship and is a licensed attorney having graduated summa cum laude from the William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul. Prior to joining Hempel, Nick was a shareholder in the largest Minneapolis based law firm. Nick has regularly represented institutional lenders, borrowers, private equity funds, corporate entities, landlords, tenants, developers and private individuals in commercial real estate and finance transactions. Nick is a Minnesota Super Lawyers Rising Star, and was named one of the 2021 Best Lawyers in America by Best Lawyers, a nationally based peer reviewed publication.
