Bio

Nick Ashburn is the Director of Responsible Investing for the Asset Management Group (AMG). In this role, Nick is charged with advancing the Responsible Investing (RI) strategy, including enhancing the firm's research and analytical capabilities for RI, authoring reports, and developing new training resources on RI topics for AMG. Prior to joining PNC, Nick was the Senior Director of Impact Investing at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, overseeing research and educational activities in impact investing across asset classes, sectors, and geographies. Before Wharton, he was a Director at EDCO Ventures in Austin, Texas, a community development venture capital and impact investing firm. He previously worked in international development and strategy at IDEO.org, IREX, and Envision EMI. From 2008-2009, Nick was a Fulbright fellow in Austria. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and German, with a focus on international political economy, from Belmont University and a Master's degree in International Development from the University of Pennsylvania. People would be surprised to know that while Nick was working for the Wharton School, he was a host of the show "Dollars & Change" on SiriusXM channel 132, Business Radio, powered by the Wharton School. Nick has also held teaching positions at the University of Texas-Austin and the University of Pennsylvania.
