Bio
Mr. Malas is a Principal and Co-Founder of IRA Capital. His primary responsibilities include directing IRA’s investment strategy and raising equity for IRA’s private funds and syndicated offerings, while overseeing the firm’s overall investment strategy. Throughout his career, Mr. Malas has been involved in the acquisition, financing, and development of more than $2.5 Billion of real estate across product types. Mr. Malas is also the President and CEO of Dana Investments, a full service real estate operating company he established in 1984. Mr. Malas received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Manitoba-Winnipeg, Canada. He is also an attendee of YPO’s Executive Program at Harvard Business School. Mr. Malas is a licensed Real Estate Broker in California, Colorado, and Georgia. He is actively involved in numerous leadership and executive organizations including YPO/WPO (Young President’s Organization/World President Organization) and CEO (Chief Executive Organization). Mr. Malas serves on the Board of Trustees of the University of California Irvine Foundation and Claremont Graduate University, and also serves on the Board of Directors of the California Charitable Foundation. He is also a “Visionary Founder” of UCI Applied Innovation, and a lifetime founding member for the Mission Hospital Foundation.
