Moe Mohanna

Mohannad H. Mohanna is Principal and President of Highridge Costa Development Company, LLC (“HCDC”), the development arm of affiliate Highridge Costa Housing Partners, LLC (“HCHP”). As President of HCDC, Mr. Mohanna is responsible for the development of affordable and market rate senior and family communities in targeted western U.S. markets.

Mr. Mohanna spent four years in the Middle East where he was the CEO of Bonyan International Investment Group (“Bonyan”) in Dubai, U.A.E, charged with the responsibility to re-structure the financial position of the company and re-start construction on existing projects as well as oversee the entitlement of a 5,400 acre master plan development. Before joining Bonyan, Mr. Mohanna was the CEO of Abdul Latif Jameel Real Estate and Investment Company (“ALJREIC”) in Saudi Arabia, where he focused on developing fully integrated expatriate communities and hotels. He led the entitlement of an 8,000+ master plan hotel development in central Mekkah overlooking the Holy Mosque.

Previously, Mr. Mohanna was Senior Vice President of Highridge Costa Housing Partners, LLC (“HCHP”) in California, (formerly Simpson Housing Solutions). HCHP is one of America’s leading developers, financiers and owners of apartment communities with a specific focus on affordable and mixed-income multifamily workforce and senior apartments. During Mr. Mohanna’s 15 year tenure with HCHP, the company developed and/or invested in approximately 27,000 housing units throughout the United States of America, representing a portfolio valued over $4.0 billion. His responsibilities included overseeing land acquisition, planning, entitlements, construction, financing, lease-up activities, property management and asset rehabilitation.

Mr. Mohanna is a real estate veteran with over 25 years of development experience. His knowledge spans the entire spectrum of the real estate development industry from land acquisition and entitlement through construction and sales/lease-up.With a focus on developing long-term investment assets, Mr. Mohanna’s experience extends to property and asset management as well. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Economics from the American University in Cairo, Egypt.
