Mike King is a Senior Vice President and Partner at Kidder Mathews in Seattle. His practice focuses on investment acquisitions and dispositions, prioritizing client relationships that extend beyond a single closing.

Partnering with Erik Swanson, Mike leads an investment brokerage group that represents owners in dispositions and select buyers in acquisitions and 1031 exchanges. Together, they have successfully listed and sold investment properties exceeding $1 billion in total consideration. Their marketing platform allows them to expose and position properties in the marketplace that ultimately lead to multiple offers and higher realized returns for clients.

With over 20 years of industry experience, Mike has developed a reputation as an expert in special-asset assignments, including court-appointed receiverships, REO and foreclosure dispositions, CMBS special-servicing, note and asset sales, and complex workout situations. Typical work involves stabilizing operations with receivers, lenders, and counsel; preparing broker opinions of value (BOVs) and sale plans; managing overbid and auction procedures; coordinating due diligence, and executing transparent, court-compliant marketing processes. These matters have spanned retail, industrial, office, hospitality, and land assets.

Beyond investment sales, Mike has been trusted as an expert witness in litigation and valuation matters. He regularly contributes articles on real estate trends and has been recognized for his accomplishments by regional and national publications.

Mike earned his bachelor's degree in finance with an emphasis in real estate from Washington State University. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and is a licensed Real Estate Managing Broker in Washington State. Mike holds the CCIM designation from the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute and served as a past president of the Inland Northwest CCIM Chapter.
